I was in San Francisco Two weeks ago. The next door neighbor of the house I lived in reduced their selling price by $20,000. The house has been in the market for a year now. But aside from that, It seems like nothing dramatic us happening with their real estate market, or so it seems.
"Unless you've bought, sold or refinanced recently, you may not realize how much the Internet has changed the game in real estate. It wasn't all that long ago that you had to actually phone banks to get mortgage quotes or had to physically show up at an open house to get a look inside it."
"We started our blog to share our own experience and passion for restoring an old home.
We started Houseblogs.net to keep up with the stories that other people tell about their own houses. Founded in 2005, it's evolved from a simple topical blogroll to a full blow community dedicated to home improvement enthusiasts
In one new-home development area, he said, "there are for-sale signs in a lot of streets. A pretty slow-moving tragedy is playing itself out, and I don't need to tell a roomful of Realtors about these challenges."
"Every real estate market is different, and in each real estate market you will have hundreds of micro trends. If the people in Salt Lake City were listening to the media they would be giving their homes away, but instead they are enjoying a 21 percent increase in value."
