There were 134 homes sold in Reno last month. 58 of the homes were in the $100,000-$200,000 price range.
It is startling for me to personally witness the massive rise in this market. I'm excited about the affordability of homes in Reno. I had buyers back in 2005 and 2006 who wanted to buy a home but could not afford the monthly payments.
The rise of $100,000-$200,000 means one thing: more people who can afford it can own a home. The past few years were flipper's market--over leveraged buyers who were eating more than what they can chew.
And to add to that, our population is still steadily increasing (we have increased 17% from year 2000)--potential buyers!
