Home Insurance/Warranty Cheat Sheet

Before I start this "cheat sheet" I want to do a shout out to a local Reno insurance agent who is also a good friend, who went over and beyond the official call of duty.

I met Jim Tatro about a year ago at a local gym. Being in parallel professions we regularly exchanged work "stress reports" (Jim works 12 hours a day), thoughts and ideas that gradually turned into a good friendship.

Few insurance agents in town work as hard as Jim, and I've never seen a more hands-on approach, even for a guy who is as occupied as he is, consistently one of the top producing agents at State Farm. He has the rare combination of consistent service and genuine care for his clients.

Turns out Jim gives much more than just professional service..

A few weeks ago I called his office to check on my coverage when his secretary mentioned that he was in Stanford hospital undergoing a major surgery to donate a major organ to somebody in dire need. The kind-hearted ba$%*&d didn't even mention this to me when he said he was going to Stanford for a few weeks.... no wonder he looked nervous.

Thank God everything's ok now.

Jim, you're the man. Godbless you, Sir and may you outlive us all! : )

On more than a few occasions I've been asked who I would recommend for home insurance and warranty coverage. I'm biased to two local agents who I know will give a good service to my clients. One is Jim from State Farm and Annie Grogan of Fidelity.

Maybe I'm just from the old school because when it comes to insurance coverage and warranty, direct relationship is still number one for me.

But I also understand that with the popularity of the internet, there are many who get quotes online -- it's convenient for many who prefer the privacy of the internet. For that, I think cheap insurance quotes has an efficient system to show the best quotes from the top insurance providers.
