I thoroughly enjoyed my drive out to Arrowcreek Estates last week! The closer I got to the neighborhood, the bigger, and more spacious the desert seemed, in its vast splendor! Upon entering the gates of the Arrowcreek community, I told the security guard I was headed to the clubhouse, so that’s where I went. On the way there, I was in awe of the picturesque scenery. Desert mountains make for a peaceful show of blazing colors at sunrise and sunset. Throughout the day, shadows from the sun rest quietly upon different portions of amazing rock formations; everything within me wanted to rest on a lounge chair in the back yard of one of the terra cotta, or sand colored homes, and gaze at the beauty all day long! I could stay in the same place all night long, too, for a clear view of the moon and the stars. Such things are hard to come by in the city.
For those who may not want to rest, there is a beautiful clubhouse at Arrowcreek, buzzing with activity. The clubhouse itself feels like home. In fact, with the library, television set, stereo, kitchen, wooden tables and chairs, counter, patios, and sliding glass doors, it looks like home, too! A home away from home…. The only thing lacking is a bedroom! There is, however, plenty of room to host parties, a multi purpose room, vending machines, a fitness room, and bathrooms, complete with locker rooms containing showers!
Locker rooms are needed, because just outside the sliding glass doors and beyond the patio, with the same type of tables and chairs that are inside the clubhouse, are two swimming pools and two hot tubs! There are also four tennis courts on the property, a playground, a basketball court, and a soccer field. In fact, while I was there, football practice was being held in the field. There are also two gazebos, to rest under while sipping iced tea, or lemonade. If one is not in the mood for the kind of activity available at the clubhouse, there are plenty of streets to walk, complete with biking trails!
A country club, surrounded by a lush, green campus also graces the Arrowcreek community, and is definitely worth mentioning.
